• The standard cable tie typically comprises a flexible nylon strip featuring an integrated gear rack and a ratchet enclosed within a small open case at one end. After pulling the pointed tip through the case and past the ratchet, any backward movement is prevented, allowing only for the tightening of the resulting loop.
• This mechanism facilitates the bundling of multiple cables into a cable bundle or the creation of a cable tree.
• To apply a cable tie with a specific level of tension, a cable tie tensioning device or tool may be employed.
